I have always wanted to take photos since i have known myself. I am wandering with a lot of compositions in my mind. I am trying to fit everything that is beautiful as a photo image in my mind. Every face that i have met newly reminds me a new photo. In order to make you see what i see and in order to share my world with you there is one thing missing, a cannon camera.

I have wanted to have a canon for years! But I never had too much money for that. Then, i imagine, sometimes to gather up people who want to same thing morepo effective than to collect money for the realize a dream !

I have pursued 2010 people who have shared my imaginations. 2010 faces, 2010 portraits.. All of them just for the have a Canon which I have imagine for years..

I know, at the end Canon will see me and.. and .. I can look the world from a Canon's view finder.

From this site, you can see daily added photos and how many photos left for the finish. If you want to help me you can share this blog or you can turn your face to my camera !

Proje artık bitmek üzere, ama Canon Türkiye'den hala en ufak bir ses yok. Sanırım markalarını google'da aratıp son gelişmeleri takip etmiyorlar yada PR ajansları pek çalışmıyor :)

Aklıma Canon çalışanlarına ulaşmak için Linkedin geldi, Canon Eurasia çalışanlarını aratıp mesaj da gönderilemediği için sadece listeme invite ederek derdimi anlatmaya çalıştım. Şimdi sadece 10 kişiden gelicek mesajları beklemek kalıyor...

Giderek fotoğraf çekme tempomun düştüğü bugünlerde tekrar heycanımı gerikazandım. Hürriyet'de çıkan haber aynen şöyle:

"Canon See Me" Furkan Akbayrak’ın hayalindeki Canon fotoğraf makinesine ulaşabilmek için başlattığı kişisel bir proje. İstediği, Canon Fotoğraf makinesine sahip olabilmek için yarattığı Canon See Me projesinde Canon’un onu görebilmesi. Bunun için de 2010 farklı kişinin fotoğrafını çekmesi gerekiyor. Bu 2010 kişi ellerinde Canon See Him yazılı plakayı tutarak Akbayrak’ın objektifine poz verecek ve fotoğraflar proje sonunda Canon’a hediye edilecek.

Proje boyunca yaşadıkları, hiç tanımadığı insanlardan aldığı destek, bunun bir reklam ajansının yarattığı viral bir kampanya olduğunu düşünenlerle verdiği mücadele ve proje boyunca tanıştığı insanlarla kurduğu arkadaşlık Akbayrak’a beklediğinden çok daha fazlasını kazandırmış. One day I started to make plans to be able to get my dream Canon Camera. Was it possible to collect too much money till 2010 to be able to take the photos that I’ve been dreaming for years? I don’t think so! But maybe I could find 2010 people who support my dream. Yes I absolutely could do that! That’s how my project Canon See Me took action.

It’s been 15 days since I start the project. I found 1000 person that support me. Was it easy? Of course not! It was ok to convince people who are thinking as me or also have dreams and projects. They actually do more than supporting. They spread the project through their personal blogs or they downloaded and printed the Canon See Him sign and took photos to send me. The people who throw out parties called me to their parties and helped me to convince people, some agencies to spare the time and smile to my objective although they have many works to do. And some people even shoot videos about my project. All those people offered me much more than I used to dreamed about.

I’m getting closer to my dream with every single photo but u know, I am also meeting with gorgeous people during this project which makes me more proud. There are so many people wondering the score as much as me and also supporting my project by saying just two words ‘it’s cool!’. This is also making me happy just as much as my dream Canon could make.

These are the joyful parts of the process but is it possible not to have difficulties? Of course not! It’s not always easy to convince the people at the street because they usually consider me as a marketing person, not a photographer who has dreams. Also some people are suspicious about the project, they think that the project is only a viral campaign decided by an agency. The most difficult part is to convince the people who want me to delete their pictures because they think they look ugly. These are getting me apart from my 2010 score. If you consider my long working hours it’s also not easy for me to find time to take pictures. Usually I work for all day and at nights although I’m too tired I’m traveling at the streets and parties to find some new faces. But of course I’m very very happy although there are such difficulties.

Now, I need some help for the rest 1010 pictures. I got very happy and excited when some people asked me to take their photos before I asked them, or invite me a party where I can find a crowd to shoot. I’m very very close to the score. But first I must hurry and try to reach as crowded groups as I can.

When I get the score, I know, this will be the success of 2010 people. If u have any idea to reach more people or if u just want to support me by smiling to my objective, call me! Me and my camera is ready J Especially people who have the power to make the project reach thousands of people, reporters or the journalists, please help me to make Canon hear me.

Bi’ gün oturdum ve istediğim Canon’a ulaşabilmek için neler yapabileceğimi gözden geçirdim. Yıllardır hayal ettiğim fotoğrafları çekebilmemi sağlayacak makine için 2010’a kadar bu parayı toparlamam mümkün mü? Hayır! Ama belki bu iş için beni destekleyen 2010 kişi bulabilirim. Evet, bunu yapabilirim…

Yola çıkalı 15 gün oldu. 15 gündür beni destekleyen tam 1000 kişi buldum. Kolay oldu mu? Tabii ki hayır. Benim gibi düşünen, hayalleri ve kendi projeleri olan kişileri ikna etmek çok kolaydı. Hatta onlar benim için objektife gülümsemekten çok daha fazlasını da yaptılar. Bloglarında projeyi haber yapanlar, Canon See Me’nin bloğuna yüklediğim ‘Canon See Him’ yazılı plaka örneğini print edip ben onlara ulaşmadan bana ulaşanlar, düzenledikleri partilerde eğlencelerine ara verip fotoğraf çektirmeleri için insanları benimle birlikte ikna etmeye çalışanlar, iş güç arasında bana vakit ayıran ajanslar, farklı şehirlerden video çekerek projeye destek olanlar, kendi çevrelerine bu projeden bahsedenler… Bana hayal ettiğimden daha fazlasını sundular.

Hayalime her gün bir fotoğraf daha yaklaşıyorum ama daha da güzeli galiba bu proje sayesinde bir sürü arkadaş ediniyorum. Rakamın kaç kişiye tamamlandığını benim kadar merak eden ve ‘süper fikir’ diyerek beni en az bir Canon kadar mutlu eden insanlarla doldu etrafım.

Bunlar işin zevkli kısımları ama tabii sokaktaki insanları ikna etmek o kadar da kolay olmuyor. Onlar bana hayalleri olan bir fotoğrafçı gibi değil de bir çeşit pazarlamacı gibi bakıyor. Bu projenin bir ajansın işi olduğunu düşünen ve arkasından bir viral kampanya çıkmasını bekleyenler de var, fotoğrafta kötü çıktığını düşünüp onu silmemi isteyip beni 2010 rakamından uzaklaştıranlar da. Bir de üstüne çok yoğun çalıştığım için bir türlü ihtiyacım olan vakti bulamamam ekleniyor. Hafta sonları gündüz çalışıp gece o yorgunlukla sokak sokak, parti parti dolaşıyorum, ama tüm olumsuzluklara rağmen projenin gördüğü ilgi beni inanılmaz mutlu ediyor.

Şimdi geriye kalan 1006 kişi için biraz daha yardıma ihtiyacım var. Birileri daha ben sormadan fotoğraf çektirmeyi kendileri talep ettiğinde mutlu oluyorum, kalabalık partiler ya da organizasyonlar da beni acayip heyecanlandırıyor… Çok az kaldı! Şimdi biraz daha hızlanıp olabildiğince kalabalık gruplara ulaşmalıyım…

Bu işi başardığımda bu benim değil 2010 kişinin başarısı olacak. Sizin aklınıza 1006 kişiye daha ulaşabilmek için bir fikir geliyorsa ya da sadece objektife bakarak bu projeye destek olmak istiyorsanız ben ve fotoğraf makinem hazırız… Siz sadece çağırın :) bir de tabi özellikle elinde haber yapma gücü olanlar desteğinizi gösterin ki sesim Canon’a ulaşsın…

Kendimi bildim bileli fotoğraf çekmek istiyorum. Aklımda bir sürü kompozisyonla dolaşıyorum. Gördüğüm bütün güzel şeyleri hayalimde bir fotoğraf karesine sığdırıyorum. Yeni tanıştığım her yüz bana yeni bir fotoğrafı çağrıştırıyor. Gördüklerimi sizlere de gösterebilmem için, benim dünyamı sizinle paylaşabilmek içi tek bir şey eksik, bir Canon fotoğraf makinası.

Yıllardır bir Canon’um olsun istiyorum. Ama bir türlü o kadar parayı bir araya getiremedim. Sonra düşündüm de bazen parayı değil sizinle aynı şeyi isteyen insanları bir araya getirmeniz bir hayali gerçekleştirmek için daha etkili olabilir.

Ben de hayalimi paylaşan 2010 kişinin peşine düştüm. 2010 yüz, 2010 fotoğraf karesi… Hepsi yıllardır hayalini kurduğum Canon’a sahip olmak için.

Biliyorum Canon sonunda beni görecek ve ve ben sonunda dünyayı bir Canon’un vizöründen görebilicem.
